Terms of Service
Last updated
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShipRadar website and services (the "Service") operated by RoamGo LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a Delaware limited liability company located at 1111B S Governors Ave, Ste 98660, Dover, DE 19904, United States. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
01What we provide
ShipRadar is a maritime data platform that displays live and historical vessel positions sourced from public AIS (Automatic Identification System) radio broadcasts and licensed third-party data providers, plus optional container-shipment tracking via third-party carrier APIs.
The free tier is supported by AIS data we receive at no per-use cost. Paid tiers (Pro subscriptions and container-tracking credits) unlock additional features and data sources — see pricing for current plans.
02Accounts
To use features that require sign-in (paid tiers, watchlists, API keys), you must create an account. You agree to (a) provide accurate, current information; (b) keep your password confidential; (c) be responsible for all activity under your account; and (d) notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you create an account on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.
03Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the Service except via documented API endpoints with a valid Pro API key
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense data received from the Service in bulk without written permission
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or internal data formats
- Interfere with the Service's operation, including by overloading our infrastructure or attempting unauthorised access
- Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity (sanctions evasion, tracking individuals against their will, etc.)
- Use vessel-position data to harass, threaten, or surveil specific individuals
Violations may result in account suspension, API key revocation, or termination without refund.
04Billing and refunds
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then.
Container-tracking credits are pay-as-you-go: one credit consumes one unique container lookup, and re-tracking the same container within 30 days is free. Credits expire 12 months after purchase.
We offer refunds at our discretion within 14 days of purchase for unused container credits and pro-rated unused subscription time. Email support@shipradar.io to request a refund.
Payment processing is performed by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers on our systems. Stripe's terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
05Data accuracy disclaimer
AIS positions are broadcast by vessels themselves and may be inaccurate, delayed, manually disabled ("AIS off"), or spoofed. Container shipment data is sourced from carrier systems whose accuracy and timeliness are outside our control.
Do not use ShipRadar as the sole source for navigation, safety of life, regulatory compliance, or operational decisions where accuracy is critical. The Service is provided for informational purposes. For mission-critical use, consult primary sources and licensed maritime intelligence providers.
06Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, design, copy, and aggregated datasets we produce, is owned by RoamGo LLC or our licensors. AIS broadcasts themselves are public radio signals; our processed, aggregated, and presented form is proprietary.
You retain ownership of any content you upload (e.g. webhook URLs, watchlist labels). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non- exclusive licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service.
07Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
08Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoamGo LLC and its officers, directors, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) US$100.
09Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by signing out and contacting support, or via the cancellation flow on the account page. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive.
10Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
11Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. For material changes, we'll notify users by email or via a banner on the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
